Pos business: how To Register as a POS Operator With CAC, This is to notify the general public of the new policy instigated by FG of Nigeria to all pos proprietors and vendors to register their business with Corporate Affairs Commission.

On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), via Registrar-General Hussaini Magaji (SAN), mandated that all Point of Sales (POS) business operators must register with the CAC.

According to this directive, agents, merchants, and individuals using POS terminals must register with the Corporate Affairs Commission before launching their business, while Current operators need to register on or before July 7, 2024.

  1. Two proposed names of the enterprise

You have to be carefully consider two proposed names for the enterprise. These names have been chosen based on the relevance to your business objectives and target audience. Believe that either of these names will effectively represent our brand and resonate with our customers.

3. Office location (house number, street, LGA, state), email address, and telephone number:

5. Valid ID Card of Sole Proprietor

Choose one out of the valid identities listed below for registration

  • Permanent voter’s card (PVC)
  • National Identity Nunber (NIN)
  • International passport (IP)

6. Passport-sized photograph of the Sole Proprietor

Provide original passport of your own self for future references and proper documentation.

7. Signature 

Note: Providing your signature  on a document or form, indicating your approval, authorization and consent to it.

It is very important for all pos operators and intended operators to respect the new policy, failure to comply would attract penalty.
