A popular Rovers young footballer defender Patrick Gamble has fully determined to join a seasonal-long loan deal.
The young defender, age 20 years on the heels of the national league season commencing recently, will embark on a valuable learning in top-tire football as they host Solihull Morors in their opening match.
The player marked his first-team debut with the 8-0 carabao cup thrashing of Harrogate Town away from home last August, and subsequent appearance in the 5-2 FA cup win against Cambridge United i January showcased his growing influence on the team.
Gamble, who has been with the club since Under-7s level, has captained Rovers Under-21s over the past two seasons and has made two appearances for the senior side.
The young defender’ next stage of progression is likely to involve loan move away from Ewood park to enable him gaining proper experience and further hone his skills in a new Arena.
