Student loan: Nelfund starts disbursement

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the first disbursement of N20,000 as monthly stipends of student loan to 20,4500 students of higher leaning institutions across northern part of  Nigeria.

Last night, the agency led by Uche, the Director of finance Nelfund, has announced that the disbursement of July stipend regarded student loan must cover applicants who are qualified for student loan.

According to the statement of Uche, the director of Finance  NELFUND, reported that the agency had disbursed  N2 billion naira of Institutional fees to students of Six designated  institutions in Nigeria.

 Designated schools benefited

    • Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Kastina State
    • Bayero University Kano
    • University of Ibadan
    • University of Benin
    • University of Maiduguri
    • University of Ilorin

In the statement of Uche, He said that Nelfund is working hard on that effect to make sure they impose  the same process in the  remaining 55 tertiary institution across  Nigeria.

The good new is that this exercise will be concluded in less than 2 weeks, and they would be massive credit alert into other student wallet that are eligible  to receive stipend promptly.
